KIDS MMA

The Bear Pit is a positive, encouraging environment to learn the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.  We have a natural ability to instill discipline, cooperation, and motivation in children of all ages. 
We strive to bring out the unique gifts in each individual child. We know that every child has different challenges to push through and overcome and we instill strength and courage to overcome those challenges. We also strive to bring out the strongest assets of each individual.

KIDS BELTED PROGRAM

The purpose of our MMA Program is to establish a fundamental understanding of the mixed martial arts as well as instill a healthy fit lifestyle to children of ages 6-13. Our program is skill and goal oriented, with each belt rank awarded only to students who meet the given curriculum relative to their current rank. We value application over memorization, and students are tested and trained according to their skill level and understanding. Our curriculum utilizes both traditional and modern martial arts, and is based on technique, athleticism and control, not brut strength.

 

BOOTCAMP

Don’t let hearing, “Mixed Martial Arts” (MMA) scare you. We won’t have you in the ring punching anyone -at least not in our bootcamps.

MMA is one of the fastest growing sports today and has even been incorporated into the Biggest Loser's weight loss routine. Our Bootcamp is one of our most popular classes. We provide a fun, fast and effective body transforming, calorie blasting workout.

We push you to “YOUR” limit in a full 1 hour session. Each session consists of a warm up, a tough but fun combo of cardio and strength conditioning-using your own body weight, punching and kicking the heavy bags-which is empowering and stress relieving and really challenges your core and class ends with our effective abdominal belly flattening workout.

MMA

As the fastest growing sport, MMA encompasses all aspects of combat sports. At THE BEAR PIT MMA TRAINING& FITNESS CENTER, you will learn Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing and Muay Thai with a professional coaching staff. In these classes you will work muscles you didn’t know you had as well as push your self to new heights. These classes will provide you the best opportunity to understand what it is like to train as an MMA fighter at your own pace. We aren’t easily impressed by brut strength nor aggression. Our training is based around the "SPORT" of MMA. Training is based according to evaluated levels. Whether you are training as a hobby, to compete or Self defense we will help you achieve your goals.

MILITARY PREPARATION PROGRAM

One of our specialty classes at Bear Pit is our Military Preparation Program. This program is customized for each future hero’s fitness needs to make the transition to boot camp as smooth as possible.

Having served as a Marine in Desert Storm and Somalia, Coach knows the skills needed to make it to and through Military boot camp. Coach created this program to get his son Tony ready for Army boot camp. The skills Tony gained through Coach’s help were a major asset to his survival. As an added bonus, Tony’s mother was at ease knowing he was prepared for military lifestyle. 

By the time you leave for Military boot camp, The Bear Pit will have you physically and mentally prepared. Whether you have three weeks or six months, take advantage of this unique program—trust us, you’ll thank yourself later!
